National Service Scheme (NSS)

The National Service Scheme (NSS) was introduced in our school in the 2020–2021 academic session with the objective of developing social responsibility, leadership qualities, and a spirit of service among students.

The first NSS batch consisted of 50 volunteers. With increasing student participation, the strength of the NSS unit was expanded to 100 volunteers.

For the current academic session 2025–2026, the NSS unit comprises 100 active volunteers, with 50 students from Class XI and 50 students from Class XII. These volunteers actively participate in various community service and social welfare activities.

The NSS program is successfully conducted under the guidance of Program Officer Mr. Shashank Gupta, with the valuable support of Ms. Seema Yadav, Mr. Rakesh Jadaun, and Mr. Ghanshyam. Their dedication and leadership play a crucial role in the smooth functioning of all NSS activities.

Through NSS, our school aims to instill discipline, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility towards society among students.

NSS Camps

The NSS program includes two main types of camps:

1. One Day Camp

The One Day Camp is conducted four times in a year. During these camps, students take part in various social service activities such as:

  • Cleanliness drives
  • Tree plantation programs
  • Health and hygiene awareness activities
  • Blood donation camps
  • Social awareness rallies

These activities help students understand their social responsibilities and contribute positively to society.

2. Special Camp

The Special Camp is organized once a year and is usually conducted for seven days. In this camp, students stay in a selected area or village and actively engage in community development programs. Activities focus on education, health, cleanliness, environmental protection, and social awareness.

Certification and Examination

After successful completion of the NSS program and the Special Camp, students are required to appear for an examination conducted by the Government. Upon qualifying, students are awarded an NSS Certificate, which holds importance for higher education and government-related opportunities.
